FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Cornerstone Mortgage, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of Chris Wood to their St. Charles County mortgage team.

Chris Wood joins Cornerstone as a Senior Loan Officer. Mr. Wood was born in Mount Vernon, Illinois and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. After college, Chris moved to the St. Louis area, where he has built a successful 16 year mortgage career.

Chris has been a top-producing mortgage professional for many of the larger banks in the Nation as well as the St. Louis area during his career. Chris has consistently been in the top 3% of the highest producing Loan Originators at his previous workplaces. He credits his success to one simple philosophy, treating all customers as he would want to be treated. Chris chose to work at Cornerstone because it gives him the ability to experience a local processing system in St. Louis, yet receive the benefit of many different lenders and the niches they serve.

To Chris, local service means decisions are made quickly and closings happen on time, every time. Since buying a home is one of the most important decisions of a customer’s life, Chris wants to make sure it is a very smooth and enjoyable process. At Cornerstone, Chris has the ability to originate fixed and adjustable rate loans, first-time home buyer loans, jumbo loans, USDA loans, VA loans, refinances including the HARP program and more.

Chris is married to his wife, Michelle, who is an Assistant Principal in the Mehlville School District. Chris and Michelle have been blessed with two children, Alexis and Jacob. During Chris’s free time he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, traveling and spending quality time with his family.

Chris Wood can be reached at CWood@CornerstoneMortgage.com.
