St. Louis, (September 9, 2013) – CBC high school is proud to announce that Cornerstone mortgage is now the presenting sponsor of CBC Athletics on the Cadet Student Network (CSN).
CBC graduates and St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame members Paul Turin ’76 (NMLS 265367) and Don Droege ’73 (NMLS 271082) are members of the Cornerstone Mortgage team and spearheaded the idea to get involved with CBC athletics and CSN.
“We love our alma mater and are excited to show our support,” Droege said. “Athletics played a major role in our development, and we’re happy to help give more visibility to the hard work that today’s athletes are putting in on the field and in the classroom.”
“The Cadet Student Network is a really cool way to bring more coverage of CBC events to the public,” Turin added. “It’s also a great way to connect with the CBC community to see how we might be able to help with their home financing needs.”
CSN is a student led effort that will deliver live and on-demand coverage of dozens of athletic contests along with several other school events related to academics, campus ministry and Fine and Performing Arts throughout the year. CSN operates through an online streaming service called the NFHS Network, which is working with select high schools and universities throughout the nation.
“The most exciting part of building his network is that it’s our students who are making it happen,” said CBC Athletic Director Dr. Rocky Streb. “We have a lot of confidence in them, and we’re very grateful Cornerstone Mortgage does, too.
Early results show that the CBC Community appreciates the increased and focused coverage on CBC events.
“We’re tracking social media interaction with our audience and through two broadcasts we’ve already received more than 250 active points of engagement with the CBC community,” said CBC Director of Communications Patrick
Walsh. “That means people aren’t just watching, they are participating in and promoting the broadcast on our behalf. CSN is a great way for advertiser s to reach a committed audience.”
